Our Commitment to Achieving Net Zero by 2050

CPD are proud to announce our commitment to becoming net zero by 2050. As a leader in the commercial vehicle sector, specialising in bespoke vehicle conversions such as tippers, dropsides, Lutons, and panel vans, we’ve been delivering high-quality, durable solutions to businesses across the UK since 2009. With 15 years of experience, we understand the importance of being not just a reliable service provider, but also a responsible business that actively works to protect the environment for future generations.
Our Journey Towards Net Zero
Achieving net zero emissions by 2050 is an ambitious goal, but we’re determined to make it happen. To ensure we stay on track, we’ve partnered with experts who can help us create a solid roadmap for reducing our carbon footprint. This includes assessing our current environmental impact and setting science-based targets to guide us along the way. We anticipate that the strategy will impact all areas of our business, including enhancing operational efficiencies, optimising travel, and collaborating with our partners to reduce emissions across the supply chain.
Collaborating with Auditel
To ensure we’re taking the right steps, we’ve partnered with Auditel, who will provide us with the expertise and independent verification needed to monitor our progress. As Tom Pearson, our Commercial Director, says, “Auditel provides the expertise and independent verification necessary to ensure we make genuine progress, with no greenwashing, just clear, measurable action.”
We’re excited about the impact this partnership will have as we embark on this journey, knowing that every decision we make today has the potential to create a positive difference for future generations.
Decarbonisation Initiatives Underway
We’ve already implemented key initiatives to reduce our carbon impact:
- Upgrading our paint shop with more energy-efficient technology, significantly reducing emissions
- Investing in solar panels to generate renewable energy, reducing our reliance on non-renewable sources
These projects are just the beginning, and we’re committed to exploring further initiatives that will allow us to reduce emissions across our business.
